Using wellness programs to stay healthy can pay off financially.
That was the finding from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina yesterday.
According to it, patients can save nearly $200 a year in health-care
costs by adopting a healthier lifestyle.
... Blue Cross’
findings show that a healthy lifestyle can put more money in people’s
pockets, said Helen Darling, the president of the National Business
Group on Health, an employer-advocacy group.
“The evidence speaks for itself,” Darling said. “There’s money to be saved when people get serious about their health.”
